Vos Distri Logistics Oss awarded AEO status

Vos Distri Logistics Oss, one of the public/shared warehouses of Vos Logistics has been officially certified as an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO). The Dutch Customs authority has presented the company with a combined customs simplification and security and safety certificate. It has thus recognised Vos Distri Logistics as a secure, safe and reliable international logistics partner. Vos Logistics wants all its other logistics centres in Europe to obtain AEO status, too.

Security, safety and quality assurances for customers
The growing international concern for security and safety is leading to stricter rules on the import and export of goods in the logistics chain. Vos Distri Logistics Oss has made substantial investments in these areas. AEO status for customs simplification and security and safety offers many benefits to international traders. With fewer physical and administrative checks, customs procedures can be completed more quickly, resulting in more efficient and simpler administrative procedures and a better service to customers. The AEO certificate is recognised by all member states of the European Union.

About Vos Distri Logistics Oss
Vos Distri Logistics specialises in the provision of logistics services especially to customers in the retail and medical sectors. The location has a warehousing and handling capacity of about 17,000 m2 and offers a wide range of VAL activities from repackaging to specialised two-man distribution. Its customers include a variety of international companies with goods arriving by container via Rotterdam and the trimodal OOC terminal in Oss to be handled and stored in the Customs bonded warehouse. As the OOC is also certified, the procedure is now a lot faster.

Vos Distri Logistics acts as the central distribution hub for the Benelux and also serves the Ruhr region in Germany using a fleet of about 125 tractor units including several environmentally friendly CNG and LNG trucks and a wide variety of trailer units. New offices will be taken into operation on Waalkade in Oss in the first quarter of 2012 to facilitate the expected growth of these activities.
